CSD Qualifications

At least five days of formal training are required to earn a Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) credential. CSD applicants must also demonstrate an understanding of agile engineering practices by taking and passing a formal CSD assessment.

  • At least three days must be technical training through a three-day CSD-track technical skills course.
  • At least one of the five days must be dedicated to the study of Scrum through a CSD-track Introduction to Scrum course or CSM/CSPO course.
  • The fifth day is an elective. You can choose from among the CSD-track courses to develop the skills you feel would benefit you the most in your role. The two-day CSM or CSPO course fulfils both Intro to Scrum and the elective requirements.

CSM Course and the CSD Program

The CSM course and the CSPO course are CSD-track courses. These two-day courses fulfill both the Introduction to Scrum requirement and the elective requirement.

What are the fees?

If approved, you will be asked to pay a fee of $150, which will secure your active CSD status for two years.

Do the CSM and CSPO course count toward CSD certification?

Yes. These courses fulfil two requirements towards a CSD: Introduction to Scrum and the elective.

What if I took a CSM or CSPO course many years ago?

The course may still apply toward your CSD.

How Do I Apply to Teach a CSD-Track Course?

You must complete a REP application packet and submit your proposed CSD-track courses.
