Ben is a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Professional who has been responsible for the technological and strategic direction of development and infrastructure departments crafting, articulating and executing a clear technical vision that is consistent with the organization's short and long term business strategy, leading, managing and/or coaching a very highly skilled lean agile team of developers, infrastructure engineers and supporting staff. Working in the capacities of IT Portfolio Manager, Lead IT Portfolio Manager, Director of Development, VP of Development and Agile and Scrum Coach he has presented carefully calibrated verbiage with team velocities, burn downs and other data matrix for requesting and successfully obtaining money for his projects.

Has more than ten (10) years of experience working in the technology industry and is listed on multiple patents for PCI, HIPAA, and cloud technologies. Guest lectured at various universities in their Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Departments on Practices of an Agile Developer, Public and Private Hybrid Cloud Computing, Design Patterns and different career paths in a single company. Has a strong record of success in creating robust information technology architectures and infrastructures with the proven ability to maximize productivity without sacrificing quality of product and/or service utilizing the Agile Scrum Framework and complements.

He has implemented Scrum in multiple companies from development to marketing collocated onshore and distributed offshore. Small to large organizations, sizes in numbers range from one hundred – (100) to three thousand (3000) employees. Has written multiple papers about time range estimation, product, feature and utility teams, stack ranking and prioritizing, Scrum of Scrums, Meta Scrum, user story writing for collocated and distributed offshore Scrum teams and more.

After years of experience with Scrum, engaging in conversation, mentoring, coaching, teaching and implementing Scrum in various sized organizations he has complimented the Agile Scrum Framework in a practical implementation of Scrum that he calls, “Practical Scrum”.

As VP of Product Development and with his consolidated virtual tool shed loaded with all the foundational best practices of Agile development, object oriented thought process, modularization, anything as a service, web services, database normalization, scaling Scrum to the portfolio size integrating the business must haves and how they relate to successful product development such as Return on Investment (ROI), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Net Present Value (NPV), Break Even Points, competitive product analysis and more.
